Snow Skills

TMG offer a five day backcountry snow camping/ski touring package in the Bogong High Plains. As one of the largest snow covered areas in Australia, the Bogong High Plains are a four and a half hour drive from Melbourne and are part of the magnificent Victorian Alps.   With most equipment supplied, clients will be gradually introduced to the wonders of the winter backcountry by spending the first day learning valuable lessons like how to dress, eat, sleep and pack your gear for a winter trip. The second day is a day trip to try out your skis and snow shoes with the final three days and two nights being spent touring the backcountry while continually gaining knowledge and skills from your guides who have many years of experience.

Inclusions

Full day of pre-activity introductory lessons and gear preparation . Two nights in a cabin at Mount Beauty. Two guides, transfers to and from the park, park fees and all meals. See gear list for what we supply.
